How to start and stop exercise mode on my Fitbit Charge? I want to use it to record my running activity.

To start exercise mode on your Fitbit Charge before you start to run:

Press and hold the button until a stopwatch icon appears. The timer starts counting immediately, and elapsed time appears.

To view real-time stats of the exercise, like Elapsed time, and Calories burned:

Press the button and release immediately.

To stop exercise mode after you finish running:

Press and hold the button to end exercise mode. Fitbit Charge will display a summary about your running.
