Convert Older Version Documents in Microsoft Word
How to convert word documents created with older versions of Word to current Microsoft Word? If I have word documents created with older version of Word like Microsoft Office Word 2003, can I convert them to the current Word document?
✍: FYIcenter.com
Yes, you can easily convert word documents created with older versions of Word to
the current version of Microsoft Word in 3 steps:
1. Double click the file name of the older version Word file. The file will be opened in the current version of Word.
2. Click the "File" menu, then click "Save As" menu item. You will see the Save As box showing up.
3. In the "Save as type:" dropdown list, change the selection to "Word Document (*.docx), then click the Save button. The older version Word file will be converted to the current Word file with the .docx file extension.
