✍: FYIcenter.com
There are 6 main steps to insert Dynamic Fields in Microsoft Word:
1. Go to the location where you want to insert the dynamic field. For example, go to beginning of the document to insert {TOC} for table of content; or go to the footer to insert {PAGE} for page number.
2. Open the "Insert" menu tab.
3. Open the "Quick Parts" list in the "Text" menu group.
4. Select "Field..." from the pull down menu. You see the Field insert dialog showing up.
5. Select the field name from the list. You see additional properties of the selected field showing up.
6. Complete properties as needed and clock OK. You see the field inserted into the document.
