What is the battery life of 9V Sunbeam in a smoke detector? The label says "Super Heavy Duty".

It doesn't really matter it the battery last 1 year or 2 years in a smoke detector. You are recommended to change the battery every 6 months anyway. But if you keep using it, the 9V Sunbeam battery may last only 11 months in a typical smoke detector like Kidde NightHawk model.

Yes, the label on the Sunbeam battery package says: "SUPER HEAVY DUTY" and "Ideal for LOW DRAIN devices". But you should not fully believe what it says on the package.
